WWF's official Omega Ambassador does it again! Congratulations on another lovely piece, Carl! You're so lucky to have that great store in your city. I'm sure they'll be seeing you soon enough again and will be very happy to do so. The strap does look better in my honest opinion too vs the previous bracelet. Enjoy in the best of health! Yes, very dangerous for me to have both the Omega Boutique and Otto Friedl in the same building! At least the latter is not open on the weekend, it keeps the same hours as my work schedule, so it's difficult to get in there. I am very fortunate. At this stage in my life, going vintage is the only affordable way to keep any kind off collection. Cheeers, Carl |

That's sort of like Royal De Versailles here in Toronto in terms of the hours. You're very fortunate for this otherwise you might own a few more watches currently. Having both of those in the same building is almost as if they did this with you in mind!

Very nice score of a 14.7xx case reference.  That's the last of the coat hanger S dials - they switched to the more rounded S after this watch was discontinued in 1963. The reference number also changed to the 6 digit versions at that time, the replacement being a 166.xxx case. It's actually only 33m! My Bumper Auto is 34mm, and the lugs are a bit longer. I think it looks great. It makes my 38.5m AT feel huge when I put it on. I will take another pic, that is not so close up, that gives a better idea of how it looks on the wrist. I must say, I am really liking the smaller watches more and more as time goes by. Cheers, Carl Wow! It looks much bigger in your wrist shot. I thought 36-38mm. That's because of the thickness and length of the lugs. Larger lugs give the illusion of a larger watch. |
