It looks great, Ian! Got to love Canada post for that! I sold an item on eBay last weekend to someone around Barrie Ontario and Xpresspost was 1 Business day guaranteed. Not too shabby, at all.

I think if it is within the same province it works great. This came from Agassiz just past Hope up in the Frazer Canyon. Will defiantly do business with this seller again.. Which may prove expensive as he sells beautiful condition pocket watches!

That's fantastic! Finding local people in this country who deal watches is no easy task, even in Toronto!!! You're keeping that money in the pockets of locals and cutting your transit time down. Also, no duties to worry about! These advantages paired up with the great time pieces makes the added cost worth it, for sure!

I now have 3 beautiful Sterling Silver pocket watches, and even sourced a Victorian era necklace , especially made to wear them around my neck, should I so choose. They are a Waltham, a New England Watch Co., and a Swiss Louis Jacot. I have no idea how many jewels they have, but all 3 are running, though the latest acquisition is temperamental. Oddly, though, it seems to be improving, the more I set and wind it. Again, I am astounded at the workmanship, the sturdiness, condition, but mostly, the value. They are all ladies' models, from the late 1800's, so on the smaller side, which just makes them more appropriate for me. Each winds and sets differently, as they are different types of movements, from what I can see with my untrained eye. Here are a few pics:

Well done, indeed. That chain is perfect. It looks as though it was made for, and has always been with, that watch! I am really looking forward to seeing it next week. Cheers, Carl

Kat, sublime pocket watches and pictures! I have to play catch up it looks like!
Yeah Carl. I saw it on ebay, made and offer and much to my surprise I won it! Your right, it looks perfect. Looking forward to showing it to you on the 8th!
To all my friends with pocket watches. i found this video on Youtube and loved it! It shows the eccentricity of wearing a pocket watch and what it can end up as!
Not being into fashion i had never heard of this fellow before, his name is Derril Osborn. He was vice President of mens tailored clothing at Nieman Marcus until he retired a few years ago.
He lives in Dallas . I just love eccentric old fellows like this!

That's a lot of bling he carries on him chain! Love the "holy cow" comment when talking about his crosses and cows.

I have always believed that people without eccentricities, who constantly fret over what others may think of them, never have any fun. This guy proves my point. It's really called living life to the full and having fun at any age! Cheers, Carl

the dials and cases on those Kat are just so beautiful. Its amazing to think the quality we have got with our pocket watches for very little cost. It just amazes me. And there is something warm about silver I feel. My favourite of the ones there is to the far left. I love that case!
