Got home to find two watches waiting for me!
The Timex is lovely and I will post pictures later but first and foremost the Fellow Chronograph!
It is absolutely gorgeous! I love it! It wears bigger than the 34mm case size and has just the perfect amount of patina. The case is I am guessing nickel by the colour and hopefully you will see how gorgeous the colour is in the photo's.
I love the big fat pushers and crown! The chronograph function works perfectly and has the nicest feel I have felt with a chrono, just a lovely oily click if you know what I mean.
I can't wait for Carl to feel how the crown winds, just so smooth and mechanical.
It has a stainless back which has a lovely rounded shape, the whole thing, it just oozes quality. I don't think Fellow must have been a cheap brand back in the day. I am guessing probably around the same level as Gallet going on fit and finish.
Derek put it on a new Hirsch Nature strap and its lovely but this cries out for a brown or tan strap I think so I will go on the hunt, A NATO as well perhaps!
Strap changing will be a easy thanks to lugs with holes!
Here are some quick shots, more to follow but I love this one, it has tremendous character!
A shout out to Derek Reid here in Canada, the seller. From this experience I can highly recommend him not only for accurate descriptions but great communications and attention to detail, just what you want from a vintage seller, Here is his website..
