I was messing around in the garden with my camera this morning, I usually edit them in Photobucket because it is so easy to do nowadays, the ones I have posted today I pushed and pulled sliders in Lightroom but still used the brilliant frames function in Photobucket. The missus just rolled her eyes when I put my watch in between leaves and mud to take photos.

So, I was just cleaning the outside of the crystal on the Timex which has made me now want to get a crystal lifter so that I can get to the dial and give it a clean. Its actually in really great condition, just dirty and whoever was in there last left an annoying finger print but a gentle wipe with a cotton bud should get the dial sparkling and get rid of the dust. Anyway, the watch was in the sunlight and I noticed that the hour markers (in between the numbers) are red lines. I really like that and it has made me resolve to clean the dial even more. The only downside to this watch apart from the dirty dial which is an easy fix once I get the crystal lifter is that it came from a home that has a heavy smoker in it. it stank of stale tobacco! So I have washed the leather strap and got rid of the smell, fed the leather ( I could have got a new strap but this one was brand new and a Timex strap and I really like it. Now the watch smells like a watch should. There is something very special about this movement, I love it! Here is an over exposed shot so that you can see the red markers. By this time next month the crystal lifter should have arrived from HK and I can clean this beautiful dial!

It's been a really long week, but I'm calling it quits for the day and uncorking a bottle of wine (or two)!

Sometimes it is slow Zach but I find it only on the odd occasion, I do find that it has come on leaps and bounds and the adjustments and frames are superb. I do like Adobe Lightroom and have found a plugin that allows me to export photos once I have messed around with them straight into photobucket from L/R.
