For some reason, I have never liked the Monster bracelet. While as solid as it can be, the design of it has always looked a bit "cheap" to me. I have tried some 20mm straps in the past but on such a massive watch, something a bit wider just looked better. I am sure Seiko is aware of this as the bracelet is actually wider than 20mm, only narrowing down at the lugs. That gave me the idea to try on the Damasko strap, because it has a similar design. It's actually about 24mm wide tapering to 20 at the clasp, with a narrower 20mm bit at the lugs. I tried it with mine since it has red stitch, matching the red seconds hand. (the strap itself can be had with black, white or red) What do you guys thing? I kinda like it and I am thinking about ordering one from Timeless here in Frisco, where my watches came from.

No clue but I will email and ask.
I'd guess in the 150 range with the special proprietary steel clasp, but I have no clue.

Sadly, OEM stuff is never cheap.

It's very comfortable. One of the best I've had.

It has very thick center padding and that's exactly what you need on a watch the size of the Monster. It has about the same about of padding as the OEM Breitling calf strap that was on my watch when you had it.

IMHO it's a perfect fit and it elevates the watch. Makes it look and feel more expensive than it is.

I think it works for a couple of really good reasons Chip. Firstly the red stitching and secondly the subtle grain of the leather both of which give a sporty feel which is why it works so well on the Damasko!
Now, imagine that strap on the baby tuna you pictured last week!!

Do they make one with orange stitching? I had to double check my Monster and saw the second hand is a bit more orange than red. Although the "SUN" is in red on the day wheel, so a red second hand swap would be a great mod along with that strap.

I don't think so because their straps match the second hand. I think they make a white, red and lime green
