Prospex stands for Professional Specifications, but from what I've seen they share the same movement as the new Monster, so I'm wondering if it's just lower production numbers and different designs. It also looks like they are fully in house, in Japan. Most Monsters are made in Thailand.

Must admit, looking through their website I have completely fallen in love with this GS limited high accuracy quartz. I love that it comes with both bracelet and croco strap. I would go for the silver dial I think though.. On the bracelet i bet the black dial would look stunning. I know many don't like the ticking hand, I actually do, this one has taken my heart! www.timelessluxwatches.com/reviews/grand-seiko-sbgv009-sbgv011 ianmedium those are gorgeous and if they have them in stick still i will snap a pic for you. I had no idea that the second hand ticks twice per second!! I want to see it.

Love it! The more I look at this watch the more I like it. Just been reading on the internet about it. Seiko have really honoured the vintage model its based on with this one. The strap is thinner as is the bracelet so it wears lighter. Then the movement is thinner as well and then there was this thread about the amazing polishing technique they use for many of the GS's including this one. I love attention to detail like this! www.malaysiawatchforum.com/index.php?topic=10730.0

From the looks of it I'll eventually end up getting one too it seems! Simply blown away by it really. Seiko knocked this out of the park so to speak. Chances are I skipped past it but do you have a model number for that particular piece?

Yeah, I forgot to mention that Roger. I have become fixated with a couple of the Quartz models, Thank goodness I do not possess such a thing as a credit card or I might be in one heck of a lot of trouble!

All I know is, Seiko makes some VERY good / nice watches! The attention to detail on those Grand Seiko models is superb. Nothing (in my mind) measures up to the one I posted above. My Monster blew me away Quality wise, the watch gets so many compliments. I saw a video un-boxing and review where the guy rotated the bezel for the first time, his reaction was priceless. "And the bezel... Wow, the bezel!", something along those lines.
