I really like the Paris Street shot that you took. I like that too. It was rainy and late in the day, perfect for a moody black and white. Thanks Art.

While going through old pics on my computer I stumbled across this gem. When my husband was in Iraq I got with a photographer to do an outdoor session of the kids so I could send him some photos in a care package. She asked me to get in 2 shots just to have a memory of that day with all of us in the pic. It turned out to be one of my fave pics. Like a mother hen holding her brood close with the wild waters raging behind is what I see when I look at this. Its weird what art and photography can make you see/envision/think about. (The river behind us was very high at the time and moving faster than normal, I remember bc I was scared one of the kids might fall in) That was a long year dealing with 4 kids alone and keeping the house going. On the positive side I learned how to change the heating element in my dryer all by myself. Pfft, who needs a man. LOL!!! It's been 3 years since the pic and these babies have grown a lot and I've gotten much older.

And don't let the angelic face of that little one fool you, the baby child is always the worst.

Took this on while working on the Fort Yuma Indian Reservation this week. I submitted this one to the company's annual photo contest and won - $75 gift card for me. While its just an iPhone photo, it shows our clients what we do in a cool setting. It'll go up on the website sometime next year. I heard they plan to take the color version and do a fade to B&W from left to right, so the backhoe will be in color and the old architecture in B&W. I'm not much of a photoshop guy, but I'm looking forward to seeing how this turns out.
