You know, apart from those two new quartz divers I would happily wear all of the Grand Seiko line. Have you seen the Chronograph Chip? I fell in love with that one the moment it came out. I know the pushers are huge but it is an historical reference to their old stopwatches.

I have not seen it in person.
Timeless carries that but they usually are sold before they even arrive at the store.
For example, he is getting just five of the HB GMT, sometime in January, and three are already sold he said.

It does not surprise me Chip. I think once seen in person its hard not to then go ahead and buy one especially when the mental block of the Swiss being the only ones who can charge this sort of price has been put to rest!

It's an absolute BEAUTY. I had a hard time putting that one back in Dan's hands! I actually invited him to post his Seiko reviews on our forum as well, not just on WUS. Is that on a deployant or is it a buckle?

The 24 hours on the chapter ring has the numbers between 3&9 inverted and bugs me in the photos, but I can see how that could make it more readable IRL. ianmedium - agreed, the textured dial is beautiful. Doesn't Rolex to something similar with some of their dials? I did not even noticed until you pointed it out, but I am certain I have seen that arrangement quite a few times before. I just cannot remember where! This is the same case as the model Dan has in stock now with a tiny scratch on it and offered it to me at a killer price. Still thinking about that one. I am use to seeing that on dials, but don't recall seeing it on chapter rings, but maybe it is common and and I just haven't registered it when looking at them in the past.

I think I like this version with the longer GMT hand and the 24 hour indications on the chapter ring better. The dial appears less cluttered to me.

Yeah that's the one I'm waiting for. He's getting five of each colour.
