Picked this up today. My previous one was 4:3 aspect and approaching 8 years old. So old that Apple and Wacom drooped support for it and it stopped working once I upgraded to OS X Yosemite. It was also the most entry level one Wacom offered. The one is a lot better and just about the best one without spending 4 digits on one.

Sweet I use the capture, I should've opted for the bigger one but I'm happy with it.

Okay, I'm admitting my ignorance. I have no idea what they are, but I assume it's a digital pad that helps with photo editing.

It's pressure sensitive, and unlike a mouse, it uses absolute positioning. Basically a spot on the pad corresponds to the same exact location on the screen. The corners of the pad go to the corners of the screen and so on. There is a lot more to it than that, but that's the core of it.

I like it if you are using the magic lasso on Photoshop, with a mouse it's a pain in the butt. It takes some getting used to, the thing that discourages me to use it is the USB cable which gets in the way. I wish I had a wireless one.

The one I bought is wireless
I don't use the lasso much those days.
Nowadays I prefer to use layer masks. It takes ages but I prefer the complete control it gives me.
