I know this may be sacrilege for a first post, but the Bond editions are beginning to get too much for me to take. The PO is probably the best Bond watch as far as the image goes. Still, give me a Seamaster 300 M (2254.50) any day over the SMP 2920.80 and on. To me there just seems something honest about 2554.50. Maybe the whole ""product placement" thing is getting a bit old for me - or I am getting old. I also think this AT rings of Explorer but with yellow and pointed hour markers. My fire shields are up so go for it :-) and hi, btw. You arrogant SOB! LOL, seriously welcome to the forum! Most of us agree that these LE Bond watches are over done and generally not as nice looking as the originals. In fact, I can't think of a single Omega LE Bond watch or Olympics watch that I'd buy. I just started another thread on the latest Bond LE Seamaster they released and IMHO, they botched that up too. Oh and the LE part is generally a farce. The latest one will have 7,007 made. 100, 250, and 500 are LE, but not 7,000+ That said, I do like the new Snoopy Speedmaster they just released. Again, welcome to the forum.

My fire shields are up so go for it :-) and hi, btw. I've never agreed more with a first post, ever! First of all, welcome to the forum! I feel the exact same (and I'm sure many others do too). Keeping in mind this Omega 007 limited edition crap started sometime around 1995, it's definitely gotten old. My favourite one was this: From - jamesbondlifestyle.com Ok, and maybe this one too because they're nearly identical: From - lecollectobles.com It became too repetitive, boring etc for me at least. I remember seeing some of those limited pieces at the AD and they were neat but by no means worth the premium to me. They're tough to sell (without taking a bath financially) and not something I would want to look at everyday, especially as a life long watch. To me none of it makes sense and I've owned two Omega's before. They make fantastic watches but these not so limited editions are a joke. The first few years they had 10,007 pieces... Now it's 7,007. When they didncome up for sale here people had a hard time moving them and took a significant hit. Watches aren't typically investments but when spending a premium on a "Limited edition" it's not unreasonable to want a watch that's easier to sell.

The 2254 was my favourite seamaster as well.

They're tough to not like, that's for sure. I still never visited an AD to see these current ceramic models. They sell for decent prices on forums but still having a hard time seeing my self as an owner ever again. Some of the choices Omega made are the opposite of my desires.

Much better than the AT version for sure. Not a fan of the bezel thought. I think I'd rather buy the new SM300 and pickup one of these Omega NATOs.

Was just at the Omega Boutique in South Coast Plaza. Gotta handle this one up close. Pictures don't do it justice. The case even has a combination lock!

Oooh, this watch is darn tempting. Might be time to thin out the knife collection.

I have to say, I do LOVE what Omega has done with the packaging. That alone truly makes it feel like you have something special.

The Spectre is limited to 7007 pieces. The salesperson said you can pay up front to request a specific serial number to your liking if it is still available. I.e. 0007, 3007, 0070, etc.

Offering that as well makes it even cooler in my eyes. No idea they did that!
