I looked at that too and while I think they are beautiful, I'm not sure that I would have one. However, I drool all over the panerai that's hand engraved and only available in Florence.
Do I like it? Yes. Would I want one? Probably not. Too much of an iconic tool to soften it up with an engraving. The panerai radiomir shape is a much better canvas IMHO.

To me, it's interesting, but a little too much. It takes away from the classic natural beauty of the watch, itself.

Man on a deserted island here...where's Wilson? Anyone seen my friend that looks like a volleyball? Wilson got engraved lol. He now lays at the bottom of the ocean, with no hope to ever be what he once was.

Interesting read Baco Noir thanks for sharing. I personally think that they are interesting. The Sheik I told you about, who gifted me the Panerai all those years ago, had a handmade engraved platinum bracelet on his Panerai that had to be seen to be fully appreciated. It was an exquisite work of art.

That's really cool! But, a little too much for me.

I like it. And it's not the soul that was engraved, only the case and bracelet. You can say the same about tats and piercings.

Okay, I guess I'm odd man out. I'm drooling over that Explorer! Your not Roger, I love it and would wear it! But then I love the old armour one finds in Europe and love the engravers art enough that if well done as this is would certainly wear it. Makes me think that it would be good to commission them to do the bezel on my AK!
