Hmmm, interested in hearing what you all would choose! This idea popped into my head when I was reading about this Laurent Ferrier Swiss FineTiming Limited Edition Galet Square Vintage America I Watch. IMO this watch is beautiful and as I started reading I got interested, until of course the price was included at the end. $42,700. I still think the watch is absolutely stunning. I'll include the article in case you would like to read it. www.ablogtowatch.com/laurent-ferrier-swiss-finetiming-limited-edition-galet-square-vintage-america-i-watch/

Nice Choice, Marino! That thing's a work of art... wow! Well, for me this is VERY tough. I'm a fan of Patek Philippe and Vacheron Constantin BUT the last watches I'll buy will certainly be from Rolex and Audemars Piguet. To me AP is on an entirely different level, Haute Horology that's more suitable for everyday use. That being said, nothing else seems to do it for me but this (on a bracelet, though): Chances are I would go for a bunch of watches with the $40,000 USD budget. Great idea for a topic though, It's always fun participating in these.

Man, I'll have to give this some thought. It's never been a price range I'm even dreamed about. Well, when I was dreaming of a Grail, it wasn't a $40k watch and the vintage market wasn't rampant with pieced together watches passed off as all original. My Grail is an authentic Rolex Double Red Sea Dweller, which some examples now can reach that range.

Thats a great choice. I do not tire of AP waffle dials

Always liked the Patek Phillipe. The problem being that it is difficult to find a watch at $40k. So here is a model close to the $40k limit.

Old and rusty just ain't for you. Now, tell the truth, what shiny timepiece would you really buy?

The $40k range isn't a price range I think of often, but one brand and model always jumps out at me. The Lange 1 in platinum Truth be told, if I did have a $40k budget I'd grab multiple watches in a lower price range

Great choice though, I would choose Lange over Patek personally any day!
