When I saw this one the other day, I was really impressed. The touch of gold is so classy. And the textured dial and anodized rotor are gorgeous. Really like this one!

The metallurgist and the former hippy side of me loves the Ti anodized rotor.

The metallurgist and the former hippy side of me loves the Ti anodized rotor. Ha! I would love to see one of these in real life, although I doubt it will ever happen. To be truthful, knowing your taste in watches, I think you might find that the GMT models fit a bit too small for you. I love the case design, but they are a definite true fit to their 40mm size. I tried on a couple at various times at the AD, and while I found the size ideal, as with my Hi-Beat that I once owned, they might be a bit small for one who likes larger watches.

Wow, Grand Seiko continues to amaze me with yet another incredible piece. That dial is unlike anything I've ever seen (in the best of ways).

I saw this in person today, and I almost walked away with it. That dial was something else.

I've owned and looked at MANY watches over the years and the Grand Seiko dials are some of the best, most creative out there in my opinion. Subtle yet noticeable details. That thing would be a blast to see in person and take into different lighting.

I won't lie, I almost bought it. Goes from near black, to a reddish brown, to blood red, and from smooth to sun burst.
