So you are probably aware of the 7A28 Chronographs made for the RAF in the 80's, if not please read all about them here; (wonderful article, BTW) wornandwound.com/review/time-spec-seiko-7a28-raf-gen-1-chronograph/Here's my take on the "Diver's version" (lol) of that watch, The donor is a 7A38-6010, originally black and gold (yuck) My sincere thanks to K C-S for the media blasting on the case, the person I bough the donor from had a decent start on removing the PVD, but the gold was really tricky. It looks so much better now.

That was a cool piece. The finish is great and the way Seiko integrated the day/date into a single subdial is perfect IMHO.

Wow! I've never seen one of those before, not that I can recall anyway! Such a nice piece, owning one of those must be great!

I like the mod and I agree, that is one of the better integrated day/date placements I've seen.

That is an amazing looking watch indeed. Love the symmetry of the dial, and the day/date fitted well into the subdial. I must learn more about that movement, though. That must be some robust quartz movement to power those large hands and all! Very impressive piece.
