Oh man, either of those situations would make my blood boil Archer. That kind f poor service put me off of the Blancpain brand until I hear that the NJ Service Center has made a cultural shift towards quality. I fear the da I have to send my PAM422 to Dallas for service, as I’ve heard other bad stories about that place as well. I can only imagine how you felt about the 33.

It's annoying to think that these things must occur more than they should world wide. Also, it seems as if just about all service centre's (Rolex, Omega, Breitling) had some MAJOR increases in costs lately. For what they're charging there should be nothing but perfection expected! I'm not a fan of the independents being cut off but I guess there's little we can do about that really. My plans to try get a Planet Ocean 9300 for this year were squashed after Swatch Group Canada told me the service for a mechanical chronograph is $930 CAD (plus the 13% tax here). It better be done right the first time!

Just a shameless plug for Archer - he has an Omega parts account and is Omega certified, so you might want to check with him a average service cost for that PO!

I hope that Archer can be the one to service my GMT in the next year or two when I'm ready to have that done. It'll be nice to see what he would be able to do it for (or someone he could recommend) as that might make one worth getting again for me.
