Jason just opened up preorders for the next Seaforth production run yesterday and anticipates it being open for a week. halioswatches.com/products/seaforth$200 deposit and the rest due before shipping sometime in August. Total cost is about $700 +/- $30 depending on configuration. There are four dial choices (dark blue, light blue, orange and grey), date and no date options, and four bezel choices (fixed, sapphire diver, SS diver, and SS 12 hr). If you go fixed bezel, you can get a DLC coated one. Date wheels are color matched to the dial and placed at 6 o'clock. He uses the ETA 2824-2 movement. Case is 40mm with a fixed bezel and 41mm with a rotating bezel. I ordered this one - orange, no date with sapphire bezel.

Am I bad for saying I’d rather have the Mido? Not that there is anything wrong this this one, but I dig the dial on that Mido and it’s less money.

Laurie is thinking about the light blue, no bezel, and no date.

Had a good look at all their models as well. Orange dial is the one I would go with as well. If I was certain that they are able to find a movement with no date, I would consider it. However, I think they are using the ETA 2824-2 with date function, so there will be a "Phantom Date", which means the movement still has the date wheel attached, just not visible. That would bug the Hell out of me. It hasn't been stipulated in any of the comments or announcements I have seen, whether or not they will have an actual no date movement.
Apart from that, I am restraining myself quite a bit. While I love that it's a local Vancouver company, very well thought of, and very appealing watch designs and quality, I just wonder how much wrist time it will get. I just cannot seem to be able to remove my Eterna KonTiki Bronze diver from my wrist. It simply charms the Hell out of me!

Yeah the ND versions will likely have the phantom date position on the crown but no date wheel or window. If he’d gone with a little larger marker at 6 or none at all, I’d probably have selected a date option. The marker just seemed non- proportional.

Possibly, a black border around the marker would have been better. Just a small thing, but I know it would bug me.
