Good topic - going to a local GTG today at a brewery, so I’ll post up from there.

Just a coffee this morning, on my way to the Omega Boutique. I actually spent two hours there, chatting and trying on watches. And what watches they are, too! Omega Constellation Globemaster. This is a LE model in platinum! Never thought I would get to see one of these. Different from the regular Globemaster, it has a no date movement, blue enamel filling in hands and markers, even the thread on the leather strap is platinum, as is the dial. Even the Central Observatory medallion on the movement is filled with enamel: First Omega in Space, Sedna Gold model. With reverse Panda dial. To date, the nicest Speedmaster I have tried on: FOIS regular model. Also a beauty. It is likely the Speedy that I should have got. Rumors that it may soon be discontinued. It is a numbered model, not limited: And came home wearing my Oris Divers 65. I keep threatening to sell it, but it still stays with me, although I do have a potential local buyer: What a wonderful way to spend part of a very beautiful and sunny Sunday! Cheers, Carl

carl Great photos as usual! One question, how heavy/substantial do the Platinum and Sedna Gold models feel compared to the S/S version?

carl Great photos as usual! One question, how heavy/substantial do the Platinum and Sedna Gold models feel compared to the S/S version? The Sedna Gold didn't really feel any different than the SS version. I think that's because both the versions have a leather strap and not a metal bracelet, then you would really notice the difference. The Platinum Globemaster, on the other hand really feels heavy. Not so much on the wrist, but when you hold it in your hand you really notice the difference. Never realized before how heavy platinum really is!

carl - I’ve only seen the pics of the Pt Globemaster, but I do think it’s the best execution of the series on that model. Really a striking watch. So cool you got to see it in person.
