Dropped by my Rolex AD today (same AD where I got my H. Moser) to see if, by chance, they had any Submariner or Sea Dweller models (Before I asked them, I said "Promise not to laugh! ). U I thought that even if they only have one reserved for another client, I could take a look. The one watch sadly missing in my collection. Of course, they did not. But they did have an Explorer I, which I did try on. And, to my surprise, one of the Sales Associates was sporting a new GMT Pepsi! It was a wonderful chance to see one in real life. This model is impressive! At first, looking at only photos, I thought the previous Pepsi white gold was far nicer. Just goes to show, though, how opinions can change when seeing a watch in real life. The Jubilee bracelet, which was the one thing I thought I would not like, really brings the watch to life. And it feels more like a vintage piece somehow, which I guess I cannot really explain. The bracelet is also really comfortable. All of the other elements are still there, of course, the Pepsi Bezel, black dial and GMT hand. I suppose even just seeing one of these in real life is an accomplishment! I am very glad that I did, because it really change my thoughts about this model. I was kind of thinking forward that my next watch would be a Rolex 114060 or a SD43. But I think that has changed. I can definitely be put on the waiting list, and I think that I might just do that. Not like I have anything to lose, and any Sub or SD model requires a waitlist anyway. I haven't done anything yet, just wanted to share my thoughts about this watch with everyone. It completely took me by surprise.

I like it, and the fact that you brought from them before might speed up the process of getting one for you.
Also, if you end up not liking it, they sell for nearly double retail on the secondary market.
It’s one of the few watches out there that is an absolute no brainier. If you get the call, you buy it.

Truth was told by CHIP. If things change and you make it to the GTG, I believe that Robb still has both the SS and WG versions. Plus there will be LVc’s, LV, Exp II, Sky Dweller, and more there. Heck, we can open an AD in the Renaissance hotel! LOL

None of these things even crossed my mind when I saw the watch. I only thought, "Now I understand what all the hype is about!" There is no way that I would ever pay above MSRP on any watch and, of course, my AD would not do that either. Normally I don't consider resale, as you know, when buying a watch. But in this case I certainly have no argument with what you say. Almost no other watch would be a more sound purchase.

Carl, I’m loving mine. It’s really weird for me too because I’ve always been the biggest jubilee hater out there. I can’t explain it, somehow...... it just works

Carl, I’m loving mine. It’s really weird for me too because I’ve always been the biggest jubilee hater out there. I can’t explain it, somehow...... it just works I know exactly what you mean! I wouldn't say I hated the Jubilee, but more like when I tried on a Day-Date with the President bracelet, the Jubilee no longer did anything for me. Well, I won't waste time trying to analyse it, but it really does just work on the GMT. The way I see it, is that it changes the whole dynamic of the watch, if that makes sense. Needless to say, I was very surprised at my reaction. I can't recall if you own an SD43 as well? That is the other Rolex I am really interested in. My AD is going to let me know when the next one comes in. Of course, it is spoken for, but they will let me know to come and take a look. That is another model that I have not seen in real life. I am very fortunate to have such a wonderful AD, having heard so many complaints about some and how they give a run-around with some of these models. These guys are amazing, totally up front and honest.
