Came across these interesting ones on poljot24.de. 3 Russian Buran models on sale ("special offers/reduced prices") with ETA 2824-2. Rotating bezel. Hardened mineral. 40mm. from $237.29 plus ship.

A good video from the seller shows a plastic spacer around the 2824-2 of the pilot model (R). Is this the usual spacer found surrounding a movement these days in new watches? Baco's "Unimatic U1" thread in the Art of Time Forum identifies there can be problems if a wrong size plastic spacer is used.

To add, the fresh from the factory classic Flieger style now $271.41 plus ship, non EU. If anyone likes it, it might not be a bad idea to ask Julian what it would be to have his watchmaker replace the plastic spacer with a better quality one. And install sapphire. Then you might have a frugal popping Russian with ETA 2824-2 ready for your wrist. btw, numbered ltd ed. of 999.
