I like it Educate me on what a Watchco special is Jeff Watchco is an Australian "internet" firm that specialize in Parts for older Omega's. I have bought quite a bit from them & am 100% certain that they deal in Genuine parts. I don't KNOW where the parts come from, but can only GUESS that they have a good connections network & buy old stock from Omega watchmakers . I heard a rumour once that they bought a warehouse full of parts in Europe, had it shipped to Australia & are selling it off. Whatever, they have an amazing range. Here's a link to their Seamaster watches page.. www.watchco.com.au/omegawatches.htm. A couple of "warnings" here. the first watch is also very rare. But as shown there, has completly the wrong hands on it. ( it has been fitted with PloProf hands - they are wrong ). So not everything they sell is correct. The Seamaster 300 at the bottom of the page is built from NEW parts ( genuine Omega, but still new ). It is not for me to say whether such a watch is right or wrong. It for each buyer to decide, "do I want NEW or do I want ORIGINAL ?" You rarely find both. If I remember correctly the Case Ref # for the NEW cases is 166.0324 & the originals have 166.024 ( or 165... for non-date versions ) I know it is a fine line , and as I said, it is for each buyer to decide for themselves. Mamas, What is a Swiss time services Special ? I have not heard of them. ( I LOVE to learn ! )

Steve, swiss time services are a similar outfit to watchco and are based in the UK.. sell a lot of stuff like watch co. but dont really show it on their website.. you need to phone them. Main buisiness is servicing and restoring omegas.. but they do also sell new old stock like watch co. Slightly more expensive than watch co. but offer a 2 year guarantee for their watches. Mamas

Steve, I did ask on where they got their parts from, or more spesific, the SM300 dial And the answer was, that they got them from Omega Australia I think they use NOS a bit different than some of us More like New parts in old style But they seems to be all original Omega Cheers Jon
