Man, I wish I had a good story about what first got me interested, but I really don't. I considered making up some elaborate tale involving a plane crash on a deserted island, and finding an old Speedmaster with a little smiley face scratched into the crystal. I was actually just looking for a nice, everyday diver-style watch, and was considering the SMP with the black dial. I got some help from some very nice folks on a nearby forum and ended up buying one. I think a whole two weeks passed and, after looking at so many posts (JM and Jon are both definitely to blame) I bought my first Speedy! As the virus progressed, I started searching for a cal.321 and happened upon a nice one. Needless to say, I'm completely hooked on Omegas. I guess I would note classic quality and timeless design as the main appeal, but the history is a big part of it, too. eric

And I like a watch that has lived for 40-50 years, and still working perfect. Never thought of the price though, and I guess you can end up the other way too One vintage for the price of two or three new ones. All depending on what you are looking for Cheers Jon

Then, you get in even more trouble eric

The great thing about vintages is, there are decades and decades of different models and varieties to choose from! But, like Jon said, you can pay more or less than new, depending on what you have your eye on! eric

I don't have a long story about Omega and why I like them, I just do and always have. I would say the biggest reason for me is with Omega no matter what you buy your getting top quality, to me thats very important and I've never seen a bad one ever.
