From the Gub to GO transition period, 1992. Early caliber 10-30, simplified. This is a beauty. I had to Google "GUB". Interesting link to A. Lange & Sohne, if I read it correctly. That bezel looks interesting, too. And also the fact that the dial is GUB and the bracelet clasp is GO. I like the lugs on that, does that mean the bracelet/strap is proprietary? Or can it be switched? Cheers, Carl

The strap is original to the watch. Everything is authentic. The caliber is the first in-house GO I believe. It is accurate, quick set date, hacks,f = 28800 A/h. 1264 of those were made. A photo just after I received the watch from Ebay. Only 1 bid, mine for $250. I am the 2nd owner. It is interesting that Lange & Sohne did provide some movements for GUB. The model Q1. The cal. 28, Lange & Sohne first in house movement. Some are stamped Lange & Sohne, some are stamped GUB. I believe GUB also made some solid gold Q1 with Lang & Sohne caliber.

akabw I like that one. Tell us more Well, it's a Timex so it fits my budget. It's a big watch but I dig it(45mmX51mm IIRC). It's a discontinued Expedition but I was lucky enough to snatch a few.
This one is the T49823.
It came in different colors, is 100m WR and has Indiglo so it is practical enough for all day use.
Oh, I have absolutely no use for that bidirectional slide rule bezel but just like the look of it.
Cream dial version...
Cool Indiglo
Black version...
Brown version...
Anyway, I just dig the knurling and the fact that I don't see it much around. The stainless steel and black dial is probably my favorite. Looks great in a bracelet too IMHO.
That's pretty much it.

akabwThe price is irrelevant, and that’s what I like about our forum. We’ve all gotten tons of joy from hundred dollars watches, and we are not afraid or ashamed to admit it. We all have them! I think it’s awesome that we can find one that makes us smile at all price points, a great thing about about hobby, and also a sign of a true enthusiast.

akabw - I had an Indiglo in college and loved it. I abused the heck out of it working construction and it took everything I threw at it until it finally died due to humidity ingress in Alabama on a humid day of all things. It had put up with so much from me, I was shocked when that’s what killed it. Still love the Indiglos!

That looks like a concave bezel? A good looking piece.

Here is another Expedition with similar case but just a simple 3 hander. 100m is plenty WR for my river adventures.
Not a bad beater at all! ~v~
