Guys.. we are lucky in a brand like omega, in that they produce 2 legendary series with history behind them.. the speedmaster professional series and the seamaster professional series.. so which do you prefer and why?

for me this is a difficult question as i love both lines.. but i suppose the seamaster line just about wins.. as i do a lot of watersports in the summer.. so for that reason the seamaster line wins! mamas

I love the style of diver's watches & don't have a need for a chronograph. I will own a Speedmaster at some point, but if I have to vote the Seamaster gets it.

I have replied the Speedmaster and here are my reasons :
- I have been the owner of a speedy pro since 20 yeasrs , this is my very first nice watch in my collection and I have been always in love with it
- Even if I sometimes practice diving the Seamster has not been my personnal choice so far even if I reconize the Seamaster pro as an excellent watch ... which is on my wish list
- I love the historical background arround the speedmaster and its connxion to NASA
- I prefer chronograph over any other types of watches , and use the chronograph very often
- I think that the BIG difference between the seamster pro and the speedmaster pro is that the first one is an excellent waytch BUT the speedmaster is more that that : it is a mythical watch
few watches can be qualified as mythical in the history of horlogery , thoses wich came to my mind are
The Tank of Cartier, the Submariner of Rolex, the Royal Oak of Audemar and Piguet, the Calatrava of Patek Philippe, the Ingenieur of IWC, the Reverso of JLC ,
Very few chronographs have reach this level of mythical watches IMO : the Rolex Daytona, the El Primero of Zenith, the Navitimer of Breitling ... and the Speedmaster of Omega ... out of this very short list one really stands out to my eyes : the Omega Speedmaster Professional
cheers JM

Voted Seamaster. Presently I'm looking into a Speedmaster in the next few months.

I voted Seamaster, like Sam I have no need for a chrono and don't see myself with one just not my style. I'm not saying their not nice cause they are, but just not for me.

I voted Seamaster because I wear one, and although I own chronographs, don't like a tach on them. JMO.

Very difficult choice... I would vote for both. Maybe for sports the Seamaster is the winner, more tough watch. To me, they are both equal, as i want them both.

I voted Seamaster as well, because it's such a broad range of models. You can get the AquaTerra for a dressier evening, the PO for a dive day, the AT Chrono for a clean tach free look, the Seamaster Chrono with the 3301 movement for a tough chrono that works underwater... etc.
Truth is that I like just about all the Seamaster models, but I only care for the MoonWatch and the Broad Arrow in the Speedmaster line.

No question it's Speedy for me. I like my Seamasters, but Speedy is my favorite. I can't explain it, but I can't think of a watch I'd rather own.

Would have to be the Speedy pro. Even discounting the attached myth and iconic status, I just love the aesthetics of this watch! For so many years, I have always had second thoughts about getting one; no date, handwind, limited water resistance etc., but since I got mine, I can't get it off my wrist! LOL And my watch is far from perfect either; faded dial, period incorrect hands and bracelets, c 861 instead of the legendary c 321 that went to the moon... it's kinda weird. Maybe the only cure would be a 6264PN. Wow, what a fantasy!
