Another affordable titanium to consider. I have no hands on experience at all with Steinhart but they seem quite popular. Price is obviously appealing. Specs look good. Steinhart Ocean Titanium 500 Premium ~ 42mm ~ ETA 2892-A2 Elaboré Premium. ~ sapphire, ceramic bezel insert ~ 500m, display back $670 msrp ~ $706 msrp GMT ~ ETA 2893-A2 Elaboré Premium

I have about half a dozen Steinharts. Never had a lick of problems with them. Mostly ETA movements from what I recall. Gunter's belief is that everyone should be able to own a quality watch at a reasonable price. He bends over backwards for the customers. Can't think of a better high dollar "beater" to have. The Ti will be my next one.

They both look like excellent watches. I know a couple of guys who each have a Steinhart, and they have no complaints at all. They are certainly gaining popularity in my book! The Steinhart Nav B-Uhr Hand Winding (Unitas) is really my favorite Steinhart, for less than a grand in CAD. Especially after taking another look at the IWC Big Pilot for the umpteenth time yesterday, at $16,200CAD !!!! I keep looking at it, and I realize it has a phenomenal 8 Day Automatic. But I just don't see the quality there to match the hefty price. Besides, I would rather have a manually wound movement, and with no date. The Steinhart would be a no-brainer for me, if I was looking for such a watch.
