Well, guys, I'm afraid my experience with the Navi was short lived! I got a call from my AD, where I had purchased the watch pre owned. The watch was originally sold by them. They bought it back from the original owner, on condition that he bring in the original papers. Which he did not have at the time they bought the watch back. So I actually left the shop without the papers, knowing they would appear. In fact, they did not.
Of course, my AD offered me a full refund or a store credit. I told them it's OK, I wanted to keep the watch anyway. A couple weeks later, something told me that it is not the right watch for me. After my honeymoon, it was not getting the wrist time I would have liked. In the meantime, I had also seen the new Premier B15 Duograph. My Norton has been getting so much wrist time, and I am loving the Premier models. Although the Duograph is not happening for me, I decided on the Pistachio 40mm B09. So I am going to do an exchange when they get one in.
My choice of the Premier B09 Pistachio is not by any means only because of the unique dial. The color is unique, but for me it will happen to work very well. I absolutely love the fact that it is a manually wound movement with no date. And column wheel with vertical clutch. There are really very few brands that do a manually wound chronograph with no date. Most of them are automatic. Except for the Omega Speedy. Some have manually wound movements, but they are not chronographs. Except for the Flieger type revival watches, like my Hanhart 417 and Tutima 1941.
Anyway, it was a very difficult choice. Simply put, I cannot afford to keep the Navi and get the Premier B09 as well. After having told my AD I would keep the Navi anyway, they were still good enough to keep their original promise of full refund or full credit. So, that is how I will come to own the Premier Pistachio, when it finally arrives. I am very excited to see it. I actually would have gotten the Duograph, but it's a couple grand more and I have learned the hard way that blue is not really my color.
So, in due course, there will actually be an "incoming".
Cheers,
Carl
