Hi guys, Which way would you swing to nominate the ULTIMATE sports SS Rolex? My vote goes out to the SS Sub-date (16610) although I still consider the GMT-II to be the most practical and useable watch in the entire line-up. Vote now with comments please. Cheers - JJ

Hey Good poll JJ Know what you mean: It's hard to argue against the SS Sub date representing quintessential Rolex. It does! And the GMT Master II is very practical and a great watch. But I'm split between Dweller and GMT Master II. Can't decide. Will have to think. Rambler

I voted Daytona I think in a sports watch, a chrono is very practical, also the longer PR is great. Also it is one of the most visually pleasing watches available.

I voted GMT II. To me It's the most versatile of the sport models, but I'm not sure there's a clear answer here.

There all great, and it's one's personal taste that dictates which gets your vote. Love the Subs, but it's the Dweller for me, thicker but cleaner lines than the date, because of the cyclops, and IMO, can be worn with anything. I doubt too many owners of any of those watches don't have at least one other watch of some type. Most likely, something a little different.

I voted Dweller as well. There is just something about that watch.

As Yogi Berra would say, "This is like DeJa Vu all over again." 8-)I think I just answered this question. My vote went for the classic Rolex Sub Date. It is the quintessential Rolex, IMHO. Nice site guys! =) maverick

Although I agree with Chip about the Sea Dweller, I voted for the 16610. Why you ask? Because it's what I own. ;D

Sub Date, it's the grand daddy of all sports watches.

I voted Dweller in the end, but I do like the GMT-Master II. Can't believe it only has one vote. Rambler

Sub-Date is where it all started. GMT Master II is close second.

The poor Explorer II had no votes. For me....not being a diver, the EXP II and GMT II are probably the most functional to me. I love the look of the fixed sloping bezel. Oh....and the GMT feature!
