Hi guys, An interesting observation. The YM is the only Rolex with a short, rounded off lug and a long SEL which falls outside the perimeters of the lug....thus!! ...and now notice the other sports models where the lug is longer than the SEL.....thus!! Comments please. Thanks - JJ

I always thought that looked a little whacky on the YM....wonder why Rolex did that?

Hey JJ, I noticed when I tried a YM on it seemed to "sit" lower on the wrist. Seemed very comfortable. I would think the rounded lugs would contribute to the comfort of the watch while on the wrist. Secondly, would not the lower profile allow the YM to stay positioned on the wrist better, given the greater weight of the watch due to the bracelet?

You're pretty spot-on with your observations and comments, Mike. Yes, the YM does sit very squat and comfortably on the wrist. I wish, however, that they could have 'flushed' off the SEL and the lug in perfect alignment without the SEL having to fall slightly outside the lug width.

The Daytonas seems perfectly mated and flush with the SEL , the perfect case?? , and out of the range my first impression on trying one on (not mine one at my ADs )was how comfortable and flat it sat on my wrist steve

You're spot-on, Steve! The Daytona lugs and SELs are beautifully matched and flushed to perfection!!
