It depends on what you paid. Most watches take an initial hit and tend to hover around the same price. If you bought right, you can easily own a piece that takes a large initial hit and never lose money on it. Sent from an iPhone 5 using ProBoards Paid just 3200 for the PAM 112. Looking for another watch for under 4K (used) for holding value. I was thinking of Omega Broad Arrow but Planet Ocean Chronograph can be had for under 4K. Thanks Chip. What's next on your plate? Check your PM. I have 3 watches I'm thinking about selling. Sent from an iPhone 5 using ProBoards

I hate when the ADs (or any watch salesperson in particular) is an idiot. I have too many stories about boneheads in watch stores. I think the 372 is the best watch Panerai has ever made. Yes, more so than any SE. I wanted a 47mm 1950 case so bad, but couldn't afford the crazy prices for the 127, that I took matters into my own hands and sourced a super quality 47mm fiddy case that has a domed sapphire crystal, solid caseback, and waterproof to 300+m... I sourced a tobacco base dial, gold hands and then had Al (Archer) put it all together for me with one of us Swiss 6497 movements inside. I had this built four years ago and it's the one watch I routinely wear. In fact, I had it in to the Archer spa this winter for a complete cleaning. I'll post pix later if anyone is interested but it got me exactly the watch I wanted without having to pay the stupid prices Panerai wants for a 372 (which I must reiterate, is the best watch they've ever offered). I must say at 6'6" and 230lbs, I'm fortunate that 47mm looks 'normal' sized on me.

I have noticed on some occasions younger salespeople acting like this at my AD. One begins to realize that it often takes years of experience for a salesperson to learn the particulars about fine watches. I often wonder if the younger sales people are allowed the same opportunities to sell the fine watches as the senior personnel or could there be a pecking order so to speak? Either way, it seems inappropriate for a sales person to make claims that are not true or are incorrect.

It's unfortunate that where I live I don't have the luxury of shopping around with a variety of AD's.
My AD's are these forums and Ebay.

Plenty of watch shops and boutiques here in Dallas, just never enough money!
