I know we all love high end watches, yet many of us own frugals (or beaters, or whatever you want to call them) too. I don't know that I've ever seen a "State of the Frugals" thread so I thought I'd start one. 1) How many do you own? 2) Show us a photo of your collection of frugals (bad camera phone photos like mine are okay too!)

I'm setting a 500 dollars MSRP mark for the froogs, and with that in place... I have three. The Monster, the Pilot and the G-Shock. I also have a couple of Marina Militare watches but they all stopped running, therefore they are not counted.

I'm at 1 at the moment, G-shock. But next watch will be under £500

ah... I just saw the sub 250 USD in the title so disregard my sub 500 assumption.

ah... I just saw the sub 250 USD in the title so disregard my sub 500 assumption. There's no real hard cost on what makes one a Frugal. $500 came to mind when I was putting the poll together but I decided that 250 might be even more reasonable.

Under $250: This does not include my 3 Baby G-Shocks, which are not as photo friendly.

Nice watches everyone! There's a lot of nice watches that can be had at a great value and my initial $250 is totally arbitrary. So what is in your frugal category? I know Henrick has a stunning Seiko with Blancpain FF styling and Art has a nice Casio G-Shock, and I'd be willing to bet a paycheck if I go back through the WRUW threads there are plenty of other nice frugals out there so... Let's see 'em!!!

And Swatches. As a child of the 80's, I really love me some Swatches. They got me started on being a watch lover.
Of course they were $30-$35 way back when, but worth quite a bit more these days.

You can't have enough Swatches and G-Shocks.: )
Anna wears the Swatches, I can't remember the last time I wore one.

All of these are new and have never been strapped to a wrist. Coral Gables on the left and a staff timekeepers piece from the 96 Olympics in Atlanta. The green one in the middle was released in '82 or early '83 between the prototypes and when they actually started naming them. The tritium still glows.
