I've always lacked the date on my 5513 so I finally decided to sell it and buy this. I've had 1680s before and have loved them and especially the maxi dial and date, I found this one from a jeweler on-line and it looks like it will fit the bill, this is the seller's picture. I should be able to give a full review in a few days when it arrives.

Thanks, I swore I'd never flip the 5513, but it's just too blah. I need the date and that Top Hat is beautiful.

Now you're talking - very nice mate. Thanks Karl, it even came with a one year warranty from the place I bought it from, any problems they fix it free of charge the first year. Bought it from a place called Anaheim Jewelry. I can't wait to get it.

Any choice with watches that makes you happy like this is the right one Life's too short to hang onto a piece that you're starting to get a bit bored of. You had your fun with it and saw that it was time to move on and that's just fine

Beautiful choice! I, too, had a few watches without the date: Rolex Explorer I, Omega Railmaster & Speedy, but for a watch I wear every day to work, I really am glad to have a date. Looking forward to the pics! Cheers Carl
