Somehow there's a lot of followers and demands for a Panerai. A great history behind it like a Rolex. I really like them but for sure won't be a keeper.

My wife is liking my 36mm Datejust, enough that I may have it serviced, pull a few links and give it to her.
If I did buy another there's a better than 90% chance it would be a Panerai.

It is certainly in my sights as well for a next watch.

I can't lie, they have been growing on me for a few years now since I discovered this one: From - europeanwatch.com Excellent watches to have variety with in terms of straps and for Rolex / Omega lovers they seem to pair up well, making for a good refreshing alternative.

Never really a big Pam fan, maybe because of my girly wrists, a bit too large for my taste Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hi Steve, if you worry they are big for you, you should try 42mm 1940 Rad case which will fit you perfect buddy:
Or even the regular 45mm Rad case which look sexy and yummy as well (even on the woman's wrist):

You and I both! It has a nice, rugged appeal to it. I remember the first time seeing a Panerai in person on someones wrist. It had this amazing luster and goldish hue to the steel in the sunlight. Between Breitling, Omega and now Panerai they make it very hard to pick. Strap variety for Panerai watches is a huge plus I bet.

I really liked the PAM176 with ti brushed case I tried a few years ago. Beautiful, simple dial. Screwed lug holes. Just a very simple hefty and fun watch. I am still not clear on the OP X Caliber. Is it an inhouse or modified ETA? Just inquring out of interest, I certainly have nothing against a good, solid ETA movement. Must go back and have another look at one. I think it was over 6 grand.
cheers, Carl

That's a good question regarding the movement. As time goes by more and more watches seem to have in house movements now, which has taken costs up significantly too. I've had 3 watches with ETA base movements in them and they were extremely reliable and accurate over the years.

They have no choice since ETA I'd on track to stop supplying others with movements.
