I wonder if AP would give a 90% discount for a group buy?

I'll go all the way and get the large Offshore model, either in Blue or Red.

I'll go all the way and get the large Offshore model, either in Blue or Red. I would have thought the carbon model would be the one!

What a wonderful tread. Congrats on that great gift. It seems the Seiko Monster has become the 'forum watch' ? . . . . I might begin hunting one down Maybe that should be a requirement to join the forum! They seriously are the best bang for the buck of any watch I've ever owned. Bang for buck is so true! When I think of my sports/diver watches to date all costing at least a couple of grand, then I take a close look at the Monster....The closest watch I had to it was my Breitling Seawolf with yellow dial. Admittedly, a stunning watch. But did I truly get more pleasure from it than I am getting from the Monster. I guess time will tell, but I do know that the Seawolf was not in my possession for very long. As for the Monster, I am already waiting on another new bracelet for it, which I hope is here in the next couple of days. Cheers, Carl

Youre right. eBay is the way to go. I'm sure I could find something fun for <$50 eventually. No rush - the looking is 1/2 the fun.

Yeah, I have had good fortune with eBay, especially at the cheaper end where we don't have a lot to lose, you can get some nice surprises! I mean, look what I got for 18 bucks! One thing about this is the movement is bigger. Mine was running a little slow so I found a tutorial on line on how to regulate using the +/- and did a gentle regulation. 24 hours later I have a Swiss pocket watch that is keeping within 7 seconds a day and looks beautiful! Also, I am amazed how much I use it. Yesterday whilst out and about I put it in the top pocket of my jacket and it was so quick and easy to pull out to tell the time instead of having to fight the cuff on my coat to see my wrist watch! I am a convert and I know a silver English pocket watch is not that far away in my future!
