Home sick from work, nursing the man-cold. Watching an old Pre-Christmas episode of SNL. One of the commercials was for ROLEX. What a coincidence. I had to get the wrist shot.

The Aerospace for now. Sitting at my mechanic's shop waiting on my alternator to be replaced and then off to pickup my UPS package! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Great news, Roger! We need some excitement around here. It must be at least 24 hours since the last "Incoming" . Everyone has been on a roll lately, but it doesn't make it any less exciting. Looking forward to seeing it! Cheers, Carl

Speaking of which, it's new buddy is even smaller.... This ladies size 6 half hunter pocket watch is working flawlessly, is .800 Sterling Silver, from the 1880s, made by watchmaker Louis Jacot, in Locle, Switzerland. I am amazed at the condition. Apparently, there is not a demand for these watches, as this one is really nice, and I paid very little for it. I am now looking for a an antique period correct necklace to wear it on.
Oh Kat, that is gorgeous, really gorgeous. It has a Moroccan or Tunisian feel about it with the punched silver decorations. It is so tiny, you could get a neck fob chain and wear it around your neck, that would be perfect I think! Would love to see a shot of the movement!

Thanks Kat, that is such a beautiful pocket watch! One of the things I love about pocket watches is what you can get for the price! Want a high end solid gold Swiss watch? Well, it is far more attainable going the pocket watch route!
I love the movement on yours, it looks immaculate!

How do they even work on something this old? There is one little tiny dent in the bottom of the case, and some slight color transfer from the floral design on the white enamel dial. Other than that, you would think It was a replica, it looks so good. I paid $125.00 for it. That's crazy!...... The crystal is in great shape, and it's even keeping good time ...What?

It really is crazy how reasonably priced these pocket watches are Kat. Since getting mine I find I am using them more and more. Just think what is available out there new of $125 and it makes what you have even more crazy good value.
Back in those days pretty much all of that watch would have been hand made. I would bet that dial is hand painted so you have art work as well!
