How can you do that!!!! I just got up here in PST land, saw, "it has arrived" got my expectations and hopes up and all I see is a ruddy boxy and padded envelope! Congratulations Steve, this is one unveiling I am very excited to see!

Nice buddy. I bet you are really happy right now.
It is so strange to strap on a ncg. I remember when I first got mine it is a totally different feeling

Yes, very happy!
It is weird, no at all what I expected, almost like a datejust in feel. With the rivet band it's even lighter, nothing like the 1680 I had which in turn was a beast compared to this one. Very elegant.

looks old. I'd say something more intelligent if I knew more about the Rolex vintage models. I like it, glad you found what you were looking for!

Oh boy, that is just perfect! Just the right amount of patina. Those lugs are razor sharp just like the day they left the factory! To be honest now you have that any other sub is pointless I feel, it's perfect and I just know is going to give you a lifetime of satisfaction and pride of custodianship for just like old masters in art you are looking after it for the next generation, true history on a wrist!

Thanks guys, it's a 764xxx from 1962 it's what's called a tropical dial with uniform spiderwebbing, dial is all original as are the hands, the hands may have been relumed some time ago but they are original to the watch. It's never been in a collection and walked into the dealers shop from the original owner. Just been serviced and passed a pressure test so it's good to go. I'll see if I can get a full photo shoot tomorrow in natural light.

Thanks Ian, much appreciated, I really want to hold on to this one. I guess this surpasses the 5512 I wanted. I just skipped a rung. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
