It gets worse, I am not even going to start a new thread for this one as you will get fed up with seeing my forum name in a long list! I was inspired by Carls beautiful vintage RCAF watch when we talked about it last week and have been having a gentle look around eBay. I spied something in a military style though no where near as gorgeous as Carls a few days ago so I was watching it then the Sputnik madness took over! Anyway, I saw it came to an end. He had it on auction for a starting price of $20 and buy it now for $35 in the old listing. As you will see from the photo's it has fantastic patina and I love that parts of the lume have dropped out, just one of those rough and ready watches that to my eyes look great! The guy has given it a light service and new crystal so its good to go! I was just about to delete the old listing from my watch list but saw he had re listed it.. Well, you know the rest! Buy it now for $20! Think about that, a lovely Swiss AS1187 movement, lovely patina, serviced with a new crystal, its crazy what you can find if you keep looking ! So here it is, Lunesa is the name and I am a sucker for dials that say "Rubies"! Honestly, for the price of four Venti Lattes you have a serviced Swiss wrist watch with oodles of history!

I like that. A while back, I briefly had a modern Vostok and I miss it. Sent from my iPhone 5s using Tapatalk Pro I looked at Vostok watches last year.

Thanks mate. I was just noticed the blued hands are immaculate. Also, all the numbers and markers are lumed. Oh and it has a new Buffalo strap! Strap alone is the price of the watch!

Ian, I found a piece of furniture pictured on watchuseek that you're going to need by this time next year:

An update on the Sputnik. The seller got in touch again and said the dial is the original one.
Now, just got to wait for it to arrive from The Ukraine!
And Rommel. I am not that bad yet!! Though that does make me think of one of those watch rolls... Hmm, I am handy with a needle and thread, I think I will make one myself!

An update on the Sputnik. The seller got in touch again and said he had made a mistake on the dial, its not a NOS one but the original after all, just in spectacular condition! So this is even better. Now, just got to wait for it to arrive from The Ukraine! And Rommel. I am not that bad yet!! Though that does make me think of one of those watch rolls... Hmm, I am handy with a needle and thread, I think I will make one myself! It sounds like a project that can help pass the time until the watches in transit arrive! Since you rotate so often it only makes sense to have them all kept somewhere that you can get up, pick out the one for the day and go from there. Looking forward to see what you end up finding next!

Just thought I would post a link to the Canadian seller of the Lunesa, he has some lovely vintage pieces all serviced, he has been most communicative with me, been a watch collector for 20 years and does the servicing himself, I thought he was a watchmaker but he is not. www.ebay.com/usr/eshift?_trksid=p2047675.l2559

He sent me a message today saying he likes to keep around 5 for sale at a time and tops up when things are sold, really nice guy. Just looked on the map, man, he's in the boonies! He's nearer to Winterpeg than he is you! Place called Devlin.
