Great! I get to start the ball rolling today! Archer for me today, without doubt the most accurate mechanical watch I have ever owned!

Who made the movement, Ian? Is it an ETA? Nice photo, BTW.

Thanks Chip and Karl, its an ETA 6498. I think the secret lay in the attention to it that Al lavishes when he gets them. He strips it down, cleans and oils it then times it.
The PDF that comes with the watch explaining the process is fascinating. I wonder if Al would mind me posting it here as I think you would all get a kick out of it. I will ask him!
Oh and Karl, yours are so inspirational. I not only look forward to seeing them but also what strap you have on it on the day!

Thanks for the info, Ian, very nice watch, and thanks for the kind compliment - glad you like them. I like taking photos of my few pieces and enjoy posting them up, especially here where they go nice and big when you click on 'em!

Hey Chip - thanks, but I'm sure I have better ones, without the werewolf action involved… Unless you want to do a dial/bezel detail and miss out the hairy stuff. No harm in trying, I guess.
