Thanks for the PM and for doing the research. I like that watch but its way out of my range. I was hoping for a few hundred bucks lol. That ought to tell you how little I know about vintage watches. Sent using Tapatalk Pro on Samsung Galaxy S5

No worries Chip. I was actually shocked how much those are going for! Enicar seem to be a brand I see a lot of around the $20-$100 mark on eBay in excellent condition. These ones must be extra special!
Let me know if there are any others and I will have a look. Believe it or not it is a form of relaxation for me after meeting with clients!

Those are some neat watches, Chip! Especially that 60's GMT. I'm sure Ian can help you locate something in the sensible range so you can have a vintage too! Actually never saw that Omega before!

You should look that one up, I think you'll enjoy reading about it. It was just about the most accurate watch ever made at that time and it's still almost unrivaled today.

One second every one thousand years, still the most accurate watch ever made. I apologise to ianmedium for hijacking the thread. Sent using Tapatalk Pro on Samsung Galaxy S5

Oh Chip, no worries, I am enjoying your choices. The Omega, now that is the business. The ultimate grail in HEQ's. And being a fan of Gold I would love the Gold versions.
I just took a look, in the condition those are in they are excellent prices. They are only going up as well so you can't lose!

Looks like I have a few more watches to research tonight! This is awesome, I'm constantly discovering so much of the watch world through topics like this. Any pictures of the Gold one as well?
Ian, if you somehow had to pick one watch from your collection as the favorite which one do you think that may be?

Oh thats so hard Rommel. I choose all of them from the heart so they all mean something. What I am realizing is that even though its not solid gold I love the hue of the Omega and it makes me want a Yellow Gold watch even more. I have a feeling the day I get one is the day most of the others won't get worn much. I have always had a fascination with precious metal, just love the lustre of gold. So I guess thats the answer in a way, when the day comes and I get a solid gold watch then that will be the one! Just found this picture on the web of the gold mega quartz..
I love the constellation effect dial and that the Red behind the Omega symbol is echoed as the background to the date!

I've always had a thing for Gold watches as well! For some reason two tone never had the same effect. They're nice but for me it feels like all or nothing. Just another way to make a nice watch even more special it seems.
The way those gold links are brushed look SO good too! What a nice piece, wow.

Those light box photo's are great for showing details like scratches for accurate listing pictures but not always the most flattering. That's a nice clasp it has too. You should look for a nice Gold head to put on a brown leather strap... Now that's a combination! Either way your collection is coming along nicely!
