A pretty large one too... so it's not a strap. Once I opened the outer box I found this: I open it up, and yet another box: That's a big black box... what could be inside? Figure a scale might help the visuals, so that's my quattro travel case to the left and my daily carry Wojtecki single/strap/screwdriver case as well.. You guys think it's a Panerai Special Edition? Okay, enough suspense... hey what tha? ? There's nothing inside but six pillows A little closer And it's time they get 'populated'... no? That empty spot is already taken... just waiting for a few parts and my 'one-off' Avalon will come to daddy. This box is really nice. The build quality surpasses a Panerai box and obviously the pillows are big enough to accomodate a 45+mm watch. FYI, the pillows are a tough over 7" around, so you can still do them up on the pillow if you don't have a neanderthal wrist. Got the box from a Paneristi in Germany, and they come in a variety of sizes, woods and even carbon fibre. PM me if interested. Thanks for looking

Very nice indeed! You're going to have to buy another one for more watches!

Thats real nice John, I like that travel case too Which one? The quattro is very nice and obviously well padded. The Wojtecki is cool because it carries one watch, one strap and a panny screw-driver. I have this in my briefcase daily just in case I need a strap or watch change.

That's a nice presentation box, John. I've thought about buying some sort of case, but what stops me is the fear of having all of the collection together in a nice convenient package for the watch robber! I just keep my watches in the safe and pull out one at a time. Call it paranoia, but it works for me.

Avalon posted up a pic a while back of a white enamalled dialed one with black romans and blued Breguet hands, remember? Mine will be like that, but using the Unitas 6498 movement so the sub-dial will be at the 6 o'clock, rather than the 9 o'clock like on Al's (which has a 6497).

BTW John dials are scheduled to arrive at my supplier from the factory on Nov. 4th, so should be here by mid-November. Looks like I'll bring your watch with me (if all goes well) when I come up there for meetings in early December.
