Well, with my sister jumping on me yesterday about my description of myself within the family perhaps not black sheep in the traditional sense. But if black sheep can refer to the oddball in the family. The one who goes off and does odd things in life, earns his living in a very odd (but fully legal!!) way, lives in many countries and has always been a bit of an outsider then definitely and proudly I am a black sheep! So, its fitting then that I have a watch to match that reputation and now I have! An NOS Swatch from 1994, the GN150 model called... The Black Sheep! Believe it or not this was and is listed on the Swatch website as a mens watch and strapping it to my wrist I would agree as it looks ruddy fantastic. I will let the pictures describe it but quickly the black sheep refers to the one lone black sheep on the strap. Around the dial in several languages is the phrase "Sweet Dreams" lettering in gold along with gold hands and gold crown. I think it looks wonderful and the perfect watch for a fully paid up member of the English Eccentric Society! Here are some pictures, I have fallen in love with this one. The seller was great and I think the contents of my wallet will slowly drain into his bank account over time as he had some really lovely vintage pieces which he showed me when we met. Top of the tree an immaculate on OEM mesh Omega Chronostop Geneve Driver with grey dial from the seventies a Stunning piece!

What a find! That's a really cool looking watch but it should be called the white sheep!

I know Chip. I kinda wish they had one black sheep on the dial as well. I won it for $49 and of course no shipping. Cheapest I have seen thus far is $180 in the same condition and the guy has a Swatch collectors book and it shows $350 in there so I did well I think!

Ian I knew exactly what watch you got as soon as I read title. Way to go. That's a nice model to own. If you wear it, the value is not there anymore unlike other watches. Unworn swatches hold their value much better than those that are worn.

Thanks Joe. I will wear it. All my watches are ones I wear and I rarely if ever sell anything anyway. The joy of collecting these things be it watches or fountain pens is using them for their intended purpose.
There are plenty of good souls out their who will keep them pristine and preserve their history so I am content with that.

That's a cool piece and I love the dial. Like others, wish they have somehow incorporated the black sheep on the dial itself.

Now I know where Rolex looked for inspiration when they needed to write a whole novel around the DSSD dial!

Love it Chip, I bet thats where they got it from, perhaps they should have put sweet dreams around the DSSD's dial as well!
