A while back, I ordered a Lange Arkade for my wife, but it would NEVER arrive when promised. In fact, I think Lange & Sohne is so busy fulfilling its AD's orders that Lange wasn't in any rush to make the Arkade. I got so frustrated that I cancelled the order in May and have been on the hunt for something similar. My wife really liked the JLC reverso, but she wanted gold and a (gack) quartz movement. Luckily, the quartz models were SS. Well, yesterday, while in Boston I went to a well known Grey market dealer and found this beatuiful Karree. It's 18K gold and has manual winding, shape fitting caliber. The transparent case back is a plus, showing off the Caliber 21 movement. Here it is. My wife is a very happy lady now.

Nice! A very clean design. Got a shot of the back?

Very nice indeed. The Karees always reminded me of Cartier, but the GO is just so much more rare. That's two WIS wives converted to mechanical this year at WWF.

Very nice Marc! Shot of the movement would be great. A shot of the whole family (watches) would be even better.

Nice! A very clean design. Got a shot of the back? I don't, but once I can get the watch off her wrist, I'll pull out the camera.

Funny, that you're reminded of the Cartier Tank. I just so happen to own one, that I gave to my wife some time ago. I'll try and post a side by side shot. I think you'll see that the GO is a much more solid watch. Of course, there's nothing wrong with the Cartier except for a dirty quartz movement, and changed tastes.

OK. Here's a frontal side by side with my Cartier Here's another frontal shot, but sans wrist Now, here's the back side. You can clearly see the double sunburst pattern on the winding gear, but what's not noticible is that the 3/4 plate is covered with the Glashutte ribbing Last but not least, for John: The collection Man, I gotta cut back, but there's just one more I need....

Oops, I also have this Chopard. It was my first nice dress watch. It runs on a Piguet double barrel 100 hour movement, but I don't wear it much more.

Nope. That's a Breitling Navitimer Premier bought new from an AD around 1999. I remember choosing this model over the other Navitimers because I thought the other models were too big! LOL, eh?
I think the Navitimer Premier is about 36mm wide. It's just too small for me now. I usually wear the watch mountain biking and sometimes spinning. The watch doesn't get wrist time, otherwise.
As you can see, I like chronos. If I were to get another watch, it would be a toss up between the Lange Datograph or the JLC Duometre Chronometre. I'm still waiting to see the JLC in the flesh.
