Absolutely Joe, I remember waiting and waiting outside the store to get my first Swatch! I remember as well how popular were Tissot's Rock watches at the time as well, always wanted one of those!

The Rock watches were a bit too odd, for my taste. I have realized that there is a theme of classic looks to my chosen timepieces, with just a splash of eccentricity, at times.....

Same for me Kat. I could have swung one if they had been the same price as Swatch but in England they were relatively expensive, much more than a Swatch at the time.

That's what I had when I was 12. What I remember is that I was in my class and wearing the watch. All classmates wanted to wear the watch  because that electric watch was a rare one  I still have the watch in my home.
