Well, I intend to keep my New Years resolution of no more new Watches in 2015 so on the last day of 2014 I make my last watch purchase. I had no intention to but I have wanted for so long a "Turler" dialed watch. For those who do not know Turler are a long established jeweler in Zurich who started out as watchmakers. Think of them as in the UK Garrards or Asprey, in the US Tiffany and in Canada as Birks. "Turler" dials usually, like Tiffany, command a premium over the regular manufacturers dial. Turler can be found on VC, IWC, Omega and other brands, usually ranging from Tissot quality right up to VC. They are usually out of my league but yesterday I came across a beautiful 1960's Certina with in house manual wind movment from their "New Art" range with a Turler dial! Chatting with Carl today then coming home and mulling it over whilst working I decided to pounce on it. It's in lovely condition with only the slightest of wear on the gold plated case back but otherwise as you can see its in great shape. So, ending a great watch buying year on a very high note! Happy new year folks.
