I own that watches brother, the Skx009. It is a great watch. I know they use Seiko fat bars, but you should be able to use the bracelet bars on an aftermarket strap. If memory serves, it takes a 22 mm strap. Congrats on a very nice Seiko diver. Thanks Kat, I've been trying a few straps I have kicking around. I have decided to order the super oyster from Strapcode. It's true what they say, this watch is a gateway drug...BTW how is the chapter ring alignment on yours? Mine's out by a smidge. By the sound of it that's common also. Mark Mark, my chapter ring is perfectly aligned. I don't know if I got lucky or it is because I sought out a J model. Whenever I can, I will pay a little extra for the Seiko models manufactured in Japan, rather than Korea. I have myself convinced that the QC is better at the Japanese plants.

Great choice! Great watch for the money. I have one too, it's around here somewhere...If it doesn't pop up soon, I'll have to grab another.

I added this Oyster style bracelet from Strapcode tonight. Definitely adds some heft. Sadly due to dropping loony this may be last offshore purchase for a while. I knew I should have pulled the trigger on an Alpinist last fall :-( Mark
