I went to Timeless to meet up with aerome and Dan just got the model I've been wanted to see, the High Beat GMT GS. He has one silver and one black dial, both very very good looking. I've been waiting to see this for months, especially since the Swiss named this the best watch under 8k. It's a freaking beauty. If I had to pick, this would give the legendary snow flake a run for its money!

Not my photo, but this is a better representation of the watch.

The black dial had more pop to it due to the red GMT hand.

The black dial had more pop to it due to the red GMT hand. Agreed. The black dial was awesome too, it would be a tough choice. Still... Something about that damn snow flake. Hard to walk away from it.

I've been thinking about for quite a while one with a leather strap.

That's quite a half-dozen watches! Dan's collection is down by one today.

That's a great looking watch. Who had that design for the bracelet first; omega or seiko?

Without knowing, I'd say Omega did it first, the Asians are notorious copycats! Fantastic detail to the work, but esthetics, cosmetics and design aren't their strongest points.

Good question.
I certainly see the Speedmaster DNA in it.

Seiko has some incredible watches! That's a really nice one there, Chip. It makes perfect sense why it was voted the best in that range.
