As you've already seen, I visited Dan at Timeless today. Chip just happened to be there. (Dan had to go to Chips bedroom and wake him up). Anyway, I was thinking about another Seiko so I picked one up. I need to walk the dog now, but can anyone figure out what I bought? It's a nice watch and since it's in this forum, you can guess the brand. I'll add some pics when I get back.

Okay, okay! Yesterday I was sitting around thinking that I haven't picked up a new watch yet this year. Then Chip posted something about Dowling going to the Seiko factory and it was a pretty good read. Thought I could get the wife out of the house for a while so I planned a trip to Timeless since her birthday is coming up. Mentioned it to Chip and he was there long before I arrived.

So off to Timeless to see Dan. Dan hosts some great watch parties and don't forget, he donated a very nice Seiko to the forum as the Christmas gift. It's good that we have AD's like Dan and Peter on the forum. Chip was already looking at a Grand Seiko GMT and wondering how many photoshoots it would take to get it. I started looking at something less expensive.

Some time ago Dan held a neat Scotch and Watch GTG where I saw his Seiko showcase. Chip pointed out a particularly nice titanium watch and when he gave it to me it was light as a feather. The dial was pretty cool, too. They called it a snowflake and it resembled a patch of newly fallen snow.
Fast forward to today and we started looking. My wife, who was perusing the shop didn't care for anything (right then) and mentioned that she really liked the black face GMT and the Snowflake. Although I liked both GMT's, I really fell in love with everything about the snowflake when I first saw it, so I picked it up.
