Very happy to see a third Panerai on the forum!
Enjoy it, it's a beauty.

Well done Roger. If I were going for a PAM this would be the one. I forget the strap size but I was just looking at Schofields web site the fellow who builds watches in England. He has a strap section and there are some real stunners. This one made from green mottled Scottish tweed is stunning and I think a perfect match for this watch! schofieldwatchcompany.com/shop/green-tweed/

Thanks Ian. Before I head down strap row, I have a few things to sell to see how much is left in the watch fund. I've already seen some cool custom tang buckles and there are numerous strap makers to check out.

Amazing watch, Roger! Sometimes you do just have to jump the gun. I am certain you will have no regrets.
I can certainly see why you went with the 422.
Cheers, Carl

Congrats Roger! Panerai should be paying Chip a commission LOL Fantastic looking watch! I know, right? To convert me! . Up until this one, I'd seen lots of PAMs that I thought looked nice, but just did fit my sense of style. This one smacked me right between the eyes and when he let me borrow it for the day in Dallas, I was really taken by it. The 1950s case, gold hands, sandwich dial, jump hour, reset seconds, domed sapphire, and PR indicator really added up to the complete package.

Congrats Roger! I was once like you - really could not understand the hype. But as I serviced more and more Panerai watches, they started to grow on me, and when one client mentioned he was servicing it in preparation for a sale, well that was all it took.
Welcome to the club!
Cheers, Al

Welcome to the club! Cheers, Al I guess in reality it's like that with all brands. Until I tried on the Aerospace, no Breitling had ever appealed to me. There are a lot of Rolex models that I do not like and I've yet to see a Patek that I'd want to own, well other than the enamel / cloisonné dial ones which are into the 6 figures. It just take seeing "the one" that sings to you to change your mind.
