That looks great Brad! What's next? I'm thinking of getting one of his brothers...like Kat's or Baco's. Loving the cushion case...so comfortable and really I like the size! ...not to mention an excellent excuse to buy another Panatime strap. or this one... Choices and options! Ugggh!

I really like those but they're making it difficult to for me to buy one. Even though they are listed on Seiko's Canadian website I can't find a dealer stocking them. No luck on Amazon.ca either. The few sellers on US Amazon won't ship to CAN. I tried Princeton watches but no go there. Gonna have to try JDM perhaps.

Saw several on there from a Singapore seller.

I bought mine from Macy.com of all places. They had a sale around Christmas and I got a great discount. Not sure if Macy's has stores up there, but worth a try.

Now there's another incoming. I found one on Amazon.ca. I'm putting my money where my mouth regarding which model I bought. Might have to coin a new term to replace fugly. Perhaps fuglyunky Should be here by next weekend. I might of "accidentally" added an old school G-shock to the order also. Maybe the missus's watch will here by then.

Yes the SNKN02. It will go nice with my purple velour smoking jacket!!! Suhweet! Can't wait to see a photo of you wearing it in full repose, with the purple velour smoking jacket, of course! I've decided I don't care for the gold numbering...so I guess that cancels out the green Alpinist too...sorry Kat. Why are all the other Alpinists such unicorns?!? Should I avoid the Seiko 5 series automatics?

Not at all, the 5 series watches are great. Since they are at the lower end of their offering, they are almost always powered by a non hacking non manual wind capable movement. Like the one in your rekraft.
Their pricier models, like the Monster, introduce the hacking and manual wind capability.

I have a feeling my collection is going to largely be comprised of 'frugals' for quite some time...
