Hey, everyone. Before I was ever into Horology to this degree, I fooled around with amateur Photography. I use Nikon gear. I have wanted a good dedicated macro lens for a few years now. I could never bring myself to spend the money. After all, it would take a chunk out of my watch fund. Well, today, I saw that Ritz Camera had it "On Sale", at a significant discount, so I ordered it. it should be here tomorrow. I also am having a good uv filter overnighted, from Amazon, as Ritz was out of stock on the the particular one I wanted. I'm glad I thought of it, because I don't think any of my current lenses use a 62mm filter. Come on, FedEx guy! LOL

That would be the one! The VR one for digital. Who would have thought Ritz would have the best price? It isn't the USA model, but I'm O.K. With that.

I paid more for IT than my D7000! I do know, though, that it is a great lens that makes great pics...

In the right hands, yes.
I can't wait to see some some shots, it works great on the D7000.

Me, too. It turns out that even though I paid extra for next day delivery, Ritz Camera.Com is closed until after Passover ends on Sunday, so I won't have it until Tuesday. I remember years ago, when I dealt with mail order photography, all of the stores I dealt with were in Brooklyn, NY, and they were all closed on Saturday, for the Sabbath. It didn't occur to me that a major retailer, like Ritz Camera would be closed. Oh, well. Look for better pics next week.
