So I've owned this 007 for a while now but it doesn't get much wrist time because the chapter ring isn't aligned with hour markers. Is this an easy fix if I take to local watch repair establishment? There are a couple of local independents who advertise as authorized Seiko repair centres.. Thanks for any input you may wish to offer including "stop being so OCD" or other comments :-) Mark

You're not alone there. That would bug the heck out of me on any watch, especially this one. It's a nice piece and should indeed be taken to a repair centre. We have enough to worry about as it is in life, our number one hobby shouldn't add to that list! Can't wait to see it afterwards.

I can see where that one's misaligned by quite a bit. That would probably bug me too. Take it to a local watchmaker and ask them how easy of a fix it is. I have read some bezels have a click ring underneath that can be adjusted easily.

That would irritate me too much to ignore. Since a watch is closely looked at many many many times a day, I'd get it aligned.

That would be like a sliver in my mind. I would imagine that it's an easy fix tho...

It is an easy fix. Personally, I think that if you can appreciate a watch and not sweat the little stuff you will be a lot happier. Perfect Daytona's, BLNR's, 50th Anniversary watches I have owned. All just too stressful trying to "keep them nice" - much more fun to be had wearing an established preowned vintage piece. Buy right and you have an appreciating asset.

charlie3755I get what your saying and agree. The dings and scratches don't bug me as they usually have a story behind them or are part of the ownership and wearing experience. It's the fact it wasn't made right that bugs me. I'm sure I'm not in the minority when I say I spin and fiddle with the bezel while wearing my watch. Got do something during another mind numbing PowerPoint presentation. :-) The misalignment of the chapter ring stands out when aligning the bezel after fiddling. I know, first world problem....
