Very true. The absolute best bargain in the watch world!
I gave my dad one 10 years ago as a gift and he beat the crap out of it, but it never stopped running.
It's still his daily watch.

Seiko watches in general are amazing. I wore my monster today and thought to myself... "What an amazing watch, at any price point"

Yep. Seiko was one of the first brand name watch I could afford. It was THE watch to own along with Citizen and Casio.

Nice article. I didn't realize the 5 line has been going since '63 nor the genesis of the 5 name. This old dog learned a new trick today. Thanks for sharing it.
